Abstract

This study examines the role of artificial intelligence (AI) technologies in journalism, highlighting how various AI tools are utilized in the field. The research emphasizes the necessity of organizing and scheduling the effective use of these technologies within media institutions. The study aims to explore the extent to which AI technologies and models can enhance journalistic content in media institutions in Libya, as well as assess how Libyan journalists benefit from these advancements. Additionally, it seeks to identify the main obstacles preventing Libyan media institutions from leveraging AI technologies to improve journalistic content.

To achieve these objectives, an electronic survey was prepared, containing a set of critical questions related to the study. The survey targeted a select group of media and journalism professionals in Libya, along with individuals specializing in information technology and AI. The respondents’ answers were collected to analyze the results and derive conclusions and recommendations.

This paper contributes to understanding the role of AI in advancing journalism and journalistic content based on the findings obtained through the study.
