تهدف هذه الدراسة إلى التعرف على مفهوم الفقر، وأسبابه وآثاره، والسياسات التي اتخذت لمعالجته في ليبيا. واستخدم الباحث المنهج الوصفي التحليلي، معتمدا على الإحصائيات والحقائق المرتبطة بالموضوع وتوصلت إلى النتائج الآتية:-
من أهم أسباب الفقر في المجتمع الليبي.
- الفساد الإداري والمالي.
- النزاعات المسلحة.
- زيادة عدد السكان.
- غياب الخطط التنموية لمعالجة هذه الأسباب، وخاصة غياب خطط التنمية البشرية.
ومن أهم آثار الفقر:
- الاستبعاد الاجتماعي
- الهجرة غير النظامية.
سياسات التوظيف الحالية والمعالجات الأخرى غير كافية لمواجهة الفقر في ليبيا. كما أن الإنفاق الغير منضبط يؤثر سلباً على التضخم النقدي، مما يؤدي بدوره إلى تفاقم مشكلة الفقر.
