This research aimed to investigate the relationship between social support and emotional regulation among a sample of 300 male and female secondary school students in Bani Walid. To achieve the research objectives, the Social Support Scale and the Emotional Regulation Scale were used. After analyzing the statistical data, the results showed a positive correlation between social support and emotional regulation among the students, which contributed to improving their academic performance and reducing future psychological stress. The results also indicated statistically significant differences in the level of social support based on academic specialization (science, humanities) or gender (male, female). Similarly, the research revealed statistically significant differences in emotional regulation attributable to academic specialization and gender. The researcher recommended the importance of strengthening social support and developing emotional regulation skills among secondary school students by activating guidance programs and integrating the roles of family and school to meet the needs of this stage of their education.
