Electronic financial services provided by commercial banks and their role in enhancing profitability
Abstract
Commercial banks are financial institutions that play a significant role in driving development through their role as financial intermediaries between surplus and deficit parts, thereby maximizing profitability. The study aimed to identify the extent to which electronic banking services play a role in enhancing the profitability of Libyan commercial banks. This study followed a descriptive and analytical method and selected a sample of staffs from the National Commercial Bank, Sabha branch. The study relied on primary data collected through a questionnaire. The study decided that the electronic banking services provided contribute to enhancing the bank's profitability and reduce service costs, thereby enhancing profitability. The study recommends that bank management expand the provision of electronic banking services to increase revenues and profits.
