Abstract

This study aims to know the role of small projects in empowering women economically and achieving their self-realization through participation in the economic development of society, in addition to identifying the differences in the levels of women's participation in development according to the different study variables (age - educational qualification - years of experience), and using the descriptive analytical approach with the aim of reaching an accurate and integrated practical description of the phenomenon or The problem is based on the facts associated with it, and the study community consisted of all women who own small projects in the city of Sirte, and a random sample of (65) individuals was selected from them, and a questionnaire form was designed to collect data and apply it to the sample of women craftsmen in the city of Sirte, and the study reached the following results: The highest  While married women recorded a rate of 33.8%, the results also showed that the educational level of women who own small businesses is low, which indicates their weak educational level, which led to them not getting job opportunities in the country. The study also concluded that the role of small businesses in empowering women economically in society indicated that a small percentage of the sample The study received a grant from charitable institutions to finance their projects, which amounted to only 20%.
