The spread of terrorism and extremist groups in Africa
Abstract
This study seeks to enrich the issue of the spread of terrorism and extremist groups in the African continent, which is one of the most important security challenges facing reform and development programs in the continent, which has led to the deterioration of living and humanitarian conditions, the exacerbation of fragility and difficulty of democratic transition and the destabilization of political stability in those African countries. This issue also constitutes a serious threat to peace and security in the African continent. In this regard, the spread of terrorist and extremist groups and the increase in terrorist events and operations in many African countries have raised fears and expectations that Africa has become one of the largest hotbeds of terrorism, and confronting the security threats resulting from terrorism has become a difficult and complex battle for the countries of the African continent, especially on the security and information levels
