Psychological well-being of doctors and nurses at Benghazi Medical Center in light of some demographic and functional variables: A comparative study

The current study aimed to identify the level of psychological well-being among doctors and nurses at Benghazi Medical Center, as well as to reveal differences in psychological well-being among the sample members according to functional and demographic variables, namely profession (doctor/nurse), gender, age, economic status, social status, and years of experience. The study sample consisted of (221) individuals working in the health sector, including (132) doctors and (89) nurses. The Reiff scale was applied in its form consisting of (42) items, translated by Moshmosh 2022. The results of the study showed a high level of psychological well-being among the sample as a whole. It also showed statistically significant differences in the level of psychological well-being between doctors and nurses in favor of doctors, and differences attributable to gender in favor of males. The study also showed differences attributable to economic status in psychological well-being between doctors and nurses in favor of those with high income, while the results did not show statistically significant differences attributable to the variables of age, social status, and years of experience.
