The current study aimed to evaluate the psychometric properties of the Academic Roles Scale for Faculty Members (developed by Wesous et al., 2015) within a sample of 260 faculty members at the University of Derna. Using AMOS software, Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA) was conducted to assess the scale's validity and reliability. This included testing for convergent validity, construct validity, discriminant validity, and unidimensionality.
The results indicated that the scale's structure exhibited acceptable goodness-of-fit indices. Furthermore, all correlation coefficients between items, as well as between the four main constructs, were below (0.85), confirming the achievement of discriminant validity. Based on these findings, the study offers a set of recommendations and suggestions for future research.
