This study addresses the criminal protection of digital identity in Libyan legislation by clarifying the criminal texts included in Libyan law, analyzing them, and highlighting their shortcomings, The research aims to explain the concept of digital identity in general and in Libyan legislation in particular, its most important characteristics, and to distinguish digital identity from other similar terms. The research also discusses the forms of assaults on digital identity and the adequacy of the electronic crimes law in addressing them. Finally, it examines the prescribed and their appropriateness concerning the actions committed against digital identity.
