This study analyzes the word “sin” in the Qur’anic system, investigating its linguistic connotations and synonymous contexts that formed an integrated value system. The research highlights how the Holy Qur’an did not use the word “sin” as a rigid synonym for “wrongdoing,” but rather employed it in contexts that reflect deliberate negligence and the resulting spiritual and social consequences. The study also reviews similar words such as “burden,” “sin,” “immorality,” and “evil,” clarifying the subtle differences between them in terms of severity and type. The scientific material aims to reveal the eloquence of the miraculous word choice, where each term is placed in its precise place to express a specific emotional or legal state. The study concludes that the diversity of these contexts aims to deepen the religious deterrent. The method relies on semantic analysis to link the word to its textual environment, which contributes to a deeper understanding of the legislative and educational purposes related to a person’s crime against himself or others.
