Abstract

This study was conducted on Om al-Dalqam coast in the city of Tokra during the summer of 2025 to collection and identification the Species of green algae present, Six genera and six species were collected Acetabularia acetabulum, Anadyomene stellata, Cladophora glomerata, Dasycladus vermicularis, Flabellia petiolata

and Halimeda tuna.

The Species of green algae collected on Om al-Dalqam coast were recorded on most Libyan coasts, as previous Libyan studies showed that the species Cladophora glomerata recorded on Om al-Dalqam coast was recorded only on Benghazi coast, It is worth mentioning that the three species recorded in the current study Acetabularia acetabulum, Anadyomene stellata, Dasycladus vermicularis are the only ones recorded at the level of Libya.
