The Influence of the Juridical School on Al-Jaṣṣāṣ’s Exegesis of Verses Concerning Transactions "An Exegetical Study of the Second Quarter of the Holy Quran"

Abstract

This study aimed to identify the methodological rules relied upon by Imam Al-Jassas (may Allah have mercy on him) in presenting, analyzing, and weighing the strongest views in his interpretation of the verses on transactions and conduct in the second quarter of the Noble Qur’an from his book Ahkam al-Qur'an. It also sought to clarify the impact of his jurisprudential school (the Hanafi school) on directing these verses. The study adopted a methodology consisting of three approaches: the inductive, descriptive-analytical, and critical methods. The study comprised three main sections: the first covered the theoretical aspect, the second introduced Imam Al-Jassas, and the third focused on the analytical aspect, titled: "The Main Themes in Al-Jassas’s Interpretation of the Verses on Transactions and the Impact of His Fiqh Madhhab on Their Interpretation."
