ولإن كان بديع الزَّمان الهمذانيِّ مبدع المقامات، فالحريريِّ (516هـ) مجودها. ومقامات الحريري طار صيتها في آفاق العالم، وانكب عليها علماء الأدب ودَارِسُوه، وتناولوها بالدِّراسة والتَّدريس، والتَّحشية والتَّعليق، والشَّرح، ومن أشهر شروح المقامات، شرح المُطرَّزي (610هـ)، وشرح أبي العباس أحمد بن عبد المؤمن القيسيِّ الشَّريشيِّ (619هـ)، وشرح أبي البقاء عبد الله بن حسين العُكبري النَّحوي (655هـ)، وشرح محمَّد بن أبي بكر بن عبد القادر الرَّازيِّ (666هـ)، وشرح خير الَّدين بن تاج الِّدين إلياس المدني (1127هـ)، الأخير بعنوان (المقالات الجوهرية على المقامات الحريريَّة).
