تهدف هذه الدراسة إلى فهم كيفية عمل مؤسسات المجتمع المدني في مواجهة جائحة كورونا بالنسبة لذوي الاحتياجات الخاصة، بالإضافة إلى التعرف على الاستراتيجيات التي تعتمدها هذه المؤسسات لزيادة الوعي الصحي في ظل الجائحة، من منظور الإداريين والمعلمين في مدارس ذوي الاحتياجات الخاصة.
نظرًا لطبيعة الدراسة التي تركز على دور مؤسسات المجتمع المدني في تعزيز الوعي الصحي لذوي الاحتياجات الخاصة خلال جائحة كورونا، ولأهمية جمع البيانات والحقائق من الواقع، تم اتباع المنهج الوصفي التحليلي. كما تم استخدام منهج المسح الاجتماعي مع عينة عشوائية مقصودة. تم جمع بيانات الدراسة من خلال استمارة استبيان أعدتها الباحثة كأداة رئيسية لجمع المعلومات اللازمة. وقد تم تحديد حجم العينة ليكون 30 فردًا من الإداريين والمعلمين في مجال ذوي الاحتياجات الخاصة.
أظهرت نتائج الدراسة أن 57.7% من أفراد العينة يرون أن مؤسسات المجتمع المدني غير مهتمة بنشر إحصائيات الإصابة والوفاة ومواقع انتشار الفيروس، كما أظهرت أن 88.6% من أفراد العينة يعتقدون أن البرامج المقدمة من هذه المؤسسات تحتاج إلى تحسين.
