Abstract

This study examines the agricultural activity in the ancient city of Qirza during the Roman era, that is, since it fell under Roman control during the Severan dynasty in 193 AD, the time of its founding, its naming, its economic importance in the sub-Saharan region, its role in the trade movement of the cities of the Tripolitania region, in addition to studying scenes of daily life that the people of Qirza were practicing at that time, including hunting, herding, agriculture, industry and trade, all of which is based on the material sources of the archaeological monuments, the architectural sculptures on the tombs of Qirza, and what historians wrote about the city of Qirza in the pre-Saharan region, during the Roman Empire era.
